It was an year that brought us many bad news in every sphere
of life. Our finances were stretched. Job market was shrinking. Inflation
became unbearable. And, scandals rocked India almost every other day.
Yet, 2013 brought new hopes for every Indian. If the
beginning was made by the public protests against Delhi
rape, the rest of the year was witness to an unprecedented civil rights
movement against corruption leading to Aam Aadmi government in Delhi .
And, as we move into a New Year, all we expect is to make a
new beginning. Let us hope, 2014 will be marked by some definite steps by
politics to clear the Augean stable and take Indian democracy to a new high.
